Say Cheese!!!

Clicking pics has always been one of my favorite things to do..its an easy thing to do now with all new technology and its no big deal to click pics..we have them for every occasion..actually we would click them even if there is no occasion..i have a folder named 'boredom' in which i ve stored pics which i ve clicked when i was bored..few of them make an interesting watch while most of it is not even worth second look...

There was time when photos were clicked to capture all important occasions of life..it was such a big deal to get a photo clicked...I remember, how on the day class photo was to be clicked, was a big day for all of us!..we would get dressed perfectly..well oiled hair, tie and badges in proper place..and the excitement to see ourselves in the photo was totally out of the world..I was born in the generation when almost every family owned a camera of their own...the cost of each photo would come around 10-15..so,maximum care would be taken while clicking a photo, lest it gets wasted...

My dad has a camera which he would never allow any of us to touch(even now!),which was gifted to him by my grandfather who got it from japan...Dad is little too careful while clicking pics..he would not click unless everything is perfect-flash,focus and whatever the terms related to photography are...Having done some course in photography, dad has an exhaustive knowledge about photography and firmly believes that when a photo is taken it should have some meaning attached to it...Needless to say,he detests whenever i show him the pics i have taken with my cell (most of which, according to him are 'meaningless')..Am with the hope that someday i would definitely click some pic which would impress him :D

Going a generation back i.e, the time when the photos were clicked in black and white..The aura these black and white photos carry with them is truly mystic!..each photo has a tale to say and every photo is beautifully shot..I feel they are the best form of photos to be ever taken1..they make the person in it beautiful and radiant..it takes me a while to actually come to terms that the people in it are actually wearing colourful clothes and not black and white :)...Sepia is another effect,am totally in love with...but nothing beats black and white!!..

Interesting how a thing which was once given so much importance does not hold much importance in present day life..with all the new easy to use technology, the pomp that surrounded taking pics for sure is lost!

P.S. the person in the pic is my mother and this has always been and will be my favourite black and white pic for obvious reasons :)

Bank Colony 'Paala Abbayi'

In our day to day life we come across many people..We often tend to ignore many of them but few just cant escape without us noticing them..one such person is Ramesh aka Bank colony 'Paala Abbayi'(literal traslation would mean 'milk boy':P)...This guy delivers milk in our colony..when i say that,i mean he delivers milk to all the 350 houses in the colony..what is more fascinating is that Ramesh does not deliver milk cos he needs money or something..in fact he owns a 2 storied building in one of the costliest areas of city and has a government job!!He delivers milk cos he believes that its their family 'profession' and he ought to do it!

He's been in this 'profession' for quiet long time now..My dad remembers him as this 8 year old kid who came to my grand dad and said that he would be delivering milk from the next day when they moved into this house some 27 years ago.He is now married and has 2 kids..Since then he's been delivering milk to every house present in this colony..Though people get milk from parlour, they still take his milk..there were many instances when people complained about amount of water mix being unusually high in the milk, but they still continue to take milk from him.."After knowing him for so many years, its more of an obligation or habit than necessity...back then when we moved here,he was the only guy who used to deliver milk..so,its become a part of routine to get up and wait for him to get us milk" says dad.

He starts around 5 in the morning going around the colony and by the time he reaches my place it is around 7..My mom always asks him(forever now!) to come before 7 as both mom and dad need to go to office and that things wont start without cup of coffee in the morning..i don't remember even one day when he came before 7..but yeah mom wont stop telling!..He finishes his work by 9 something and goes to his office probably at 10..

He's even the daily dose of tonic for gossip ears..As we live in a colony which is exclusively for people who work in SBH,we know almost everyone and Ramesh helps in keeping track of all people..He carries every information possible with him..right from who's birthday it is in who's house to what rank Geeta aunty's son got to with whom Kishore uncle's daughter's going out with!!...Though its kinda annoying when he carries such information, its always fun to listen to his point of view..he's this one guy who has an opinion about everything possible..He finishes his share of reading paper by the time he covers all the houses..he reads little bit in every house.

He even has political background and hopes to join politics very soon..reason?he says its easy money!!..Apparently his wife's uncle is famous politician in AP( famous cos he was involved in some 2 Cr worth scam)..Every morning,my dad sits to discuss politics with him and sometimes i join them too!..As i said, its interesting to take his view on things..

Its just little too interesting to see how a person became an integral part in over 300 houses and how they just cant get away with this 'habit' called Ramesh Yadav....:)

The Skies are clear and blue,
as the morning sun spreads its rays.
Tomorrow is a myth and yesterday is now gone.
Its time to make hay now for today is the fact.

Who shall inspire you when you shut your eyes to reality?
what shall be achieved when you refuse to hear the truth?
Wake up and open the door to the world,
listen to your heart as it speaks for you today.

The paths to glory shall soon be seen,
the meteoric rise shall never be stopped.
The sky shall surrender before you,
as you spread your arms to hug the joy....

Reality tv,rains and college...

A coin has two sides...

Beginning with those words of obvious...Firstly,the big thing on TV again..two new shows which people around me cant stop talking...'Rakhi ka swayamvar' and 'India's got talent'...While the first one is an overly done melodramatic series with people who would actually make you roll down laughing with there 'love' for Rakhi and desperately trying to portray her as a girl next door(!!!)..the latter show is a lift form America's got talent and has Kirron Kher (eerrrr!!),Sonali Bendre (apparently she was missing 'judging' the talent of people after this season's Indian Idol came to an end) and Shekar Kapur(this guy hasn't been in news for dunno how long!..so a very clever comeback i must say)..while India's got talent is interesting to watch..given the fact that there hasn't been much melodrama in that so far(yes,in spite of Mrs Kher being in there) coupled with few really interesting performances..Nice!!

No sign of rain in Hyderabad whatsoever this time around..the heat is killing and adding to the misery are power cuts!!..i hate it!!..i want rain!!Rain rain where have you gone??? :(

College started..and now in the final year of graduation(yaaaay!!)...A lot of changes in the college..the pre-historic college is finally being white washed!!!

That's it...
